Hey, this is very complete game! But it's too darn hard, I can't kill those stupid knights. I think that if the knights started with weaker attack at the start it would be better. Control scheme is good, it's hard to aim buti guess that is part of the fun Pretty fun game

Argh, my eyes! There's some kind of incompatibility issue on my machine that makes the screen flicker in orange every other frame, which really hurts your head after a while... The hydra is a bit hard to control, it won't change direction as fast as you would like but after a while I adjusted to it. I've reached level 4 so far, and it's more fun every level since you grow and get more powerful. There are more and more enemies too though, so it's quite difficult. Negative aspects are cumbersome controls and poor feedback when knights attack you (your health just starts to drain if they're close enough, and suddenly you're dead), as well as simplistic graphics and the deadly strobing bug.

I like many heads

Very fun, I loved lining up and mowing down the knights. I played to the last level.

The intro was a nice touch. Great music =). The controls took a little bit getting used to, with the hydra thing flailing this way and that initially, but when I got the hang of it it wasn't too bad. Was fun for a while, but it got a bit repetitive.

Very hard to aim, or win for that matter. Interesting concept. Graphics somewhat simplistic, yet very nice. Sound is ok.

The main thing making this game un-fun was that turning around to fire was very difficult. Otherwise I would have made it a 5 in fun, cause most of the elements of an entertaining game are present. Innovation is a bit low because it's still basically a snake game and doesn't really "take new ownership" of the idea. The production values are pretty good

For about two minutes I was getting frustrated unsure of how to win. Then it clicked. And I started burninating the knights with extreme pleasure. Catchy music. Decent graphics. Addicting fun. Nice take on snake.

What got me about this game was that you die, constantly, for fairly arbitrary reasons. Nice that you recognized that by making "game over" not actually be "game over", but it's still frustrating. Manouevering and aiming is a bit of a pain; especially since the knights are so fearless (read: walk relentlessly towards you). I'd much rather be eating these knights, than trying to whip my head around at the right angle to breathe fire at them.
Actually growing the hydra is actually pretty pretty enjoyable, and it's nice that you obviously get stronger as the game progresses. The extra heads were a nice touch, too; I like how when you grow them, it's instantly obvious how much bigger you are now than when the game started.

I had the flickering bug, and I didn't stand to play the game for very long, not even with black flickering. So I've not rated Fun or Production as because I don't think I've got the whole experience. I have rated Innovation, Graphics and Sound as I think I got a fairly good picture of those. I found aiming pretty hard, but that was mostly a problem before you got a fast enough fireing rate when it wasn't a crucial for a single shot. Some shots from later levels looks cool.

The controlls were a bit clunky, but I still had fun cruising around taking pot shots at the knights. It was a bit hard to figure out what was going on at times though as the main charater doesn't have much visual interaction with the baddies. There was some kind of double buffering problem, so the game flickered a lot for me. Especially on the title screen.

I'm marking you down on sound - I don't know how you could've done it better (other than to just make it silent!), but the nonstop flame sound was entirely uncalled for. But you still get a 3 there, because the music was really good. This was an original game, and it was pretty good, with some major balance issues. I liked that you could lose a level and keep your upgrades though - as long as you didn't give up, you'd eventually win for sure! Not a lot of strategy involved, though...

I'm afraid of installers. Can you provide a .zip next time?

Erm. Image flickers like crazy. It lacks double buffering or something Music was good.. But i can't really play it when it works like this.

Neat twist on the classic top-down-shoot-around. The swamps were a great add-on to force the player to act a little more strategically. And it's nice not to be reset to the first level, but be able to recover. From level 15 on it's a little repetitive and too easy, but besides that big fun.

Good one! The music and intro is very fitting, nice atmosphere. The game is a bit boring after a while, but hey, it's 48h compo, so it's pretty understandable, that it's hard to put different knigts/archers and locations (swamp/castle?) in every level. In comparision to other games, this one could be actually classified as pretty much finished, u know.

WojtekDabrowski: Didn't run on WindowsME ("Hydra has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL").

Very hard to aim where you want to, even level 1 was frustrating me. It shouldn't require that many hits to kill the knight at low levels. The pacing does pick up however, I got the hang of it and then made it to the 10th level where it got really hard again due to large enemy swarms. The music certainly is nice though.

The sound track in this game was grea,t dark/moody, set the mood very well. Good use of theme. A little difficult to control at first. I managed to get to level10 when suddenly bam, the odds where staggering. Hint, run, hide behind water, turn and shoot - rinse repeat.

HARD! I couldn't get past the third level so I never got a second head to grow.
