Hah, nice! Really pretty fun but unfortunately like the original GROW games it sometimes seems a bit arbitrary (though I did work through some cause-effects in world 2)

This one works very well. As the readme says it's just like GrowRPG but with programmer's art. The first level (space) is very simple, but on the second one where you're growing a planet things get a bit hairier... I can't be bothered to battle with it anymore right now but I will revisit it later on. I tried at least 10 times but my forest just keeps dying. Cool stuff, but hard to judge fairly using these criteria.

A GrowRPG clone. Both of them are trial n error to me. Not so awarding.

I liked the theme and the continuity between the levels. Level 3 could have used more hints.

Well, it's a GROW clone. I really like the GROW games, but didn't think much of this one at all. I think it lacks that kind of twisted alien logic in GROW that makes you keep trying to figure it out, and of course the graphics, animations and sound that contribute to the general feel, giving you feedback and extra incentive to keep trying. "What will happen if I do this ?". All that seems to be lacking from this game.

Eh? Interesting, although I'm not currently in the mood for a puzzle.

There was a Game Maker game almost exactly like this. The difference is, this one has interesting animation and few stupid delays, and it's mostly a lot easier to score well in until the last period. (the GM game worked in "ages," was only planet-bound, and forced a delay after every age...and it was also a bigger, more complex take on the concept) I kept playing until I had it solved(though I admit I used the solution even after I had come close to getting it right - the only thing I missed was when to use the telescope).

I'm not a fan of these types of games. There wasn't enough feedback or hints in game as to what I should be doing, which I found frustrating. Other than that, everything looked very sharp and the animations were a lot of fun.

I'm afraid you're at a bit of a disadvantage with me, since I never cared for Grow in the first place. I didn't "get" it, and I don't "get" this. I think I may have gotten a bit of an "aha" moment in the "grow the civilization" stage (I got the dude walking up to the storm clouds, and it hit me that I should be trying to get him to discover electricity), though, so I'll give you points for that. My problem is that, even with that aha moment of realizing what I should be doing, I have no idea as to how to go about it. So it becomes clicking on buttons and failing.

If it wasn't for the fact that the grow games already exist, this would be very innovative. But even though this is no new concept, it's still a change from most other games, and it's still fun! The first level was pretty easy, then it became a bit tricky. Maybe the second level should have been a little bit easier to make a better curve. The graphics aren't stunning, but it works pretty well for this game.

Nice interface. The graphics was very functional but I guess it is quite a content heavy game for 48 hours. When I failed to help those people and it resulted in them not discovering space travel.. well. I felt pretty bad about that.

If I could rate Innovation lower, I would. It really bothers me to see a highly original and interesting game being cloned exactly. What a waste of a weekend! It also misses out on what makes the Grow games a little bit fun - watching to see what happens. In this version, win and lose look almost the same, and, until the last chapter, never show anything very interesting at all. There wasn't a lot of time for making interesting animations, of course. So why not make interesting and original gameplay instead?

Quite unique!

Grow RPG remake. There isn't really anything new after you have seen the original game, which is a tad better on graphical side than this one. Scenarios are challenging and I was only able to complete first. Most likely will get back to it some rainy day:)

For me it's always hard to come up with puzzles like this so I enjoy it more solving them. These were nicely conceived, particularly level 2. Number 3 seemed not that logical to me, and I had some difficulties identifying the telescope.
TomaszDobrowolski2: - Fun=3 Innovation=3 Production=3 Graphics=2 Sound=0
Funny puzzles. I did not solved all of them.. cause it's really not my favourite type of game.. but anyway: interesting, pretty different from the other games in the compo.

A very nice game! Unfortunately, the riddles seem not very logical to me (or I'm plain stupid - I had quite a hard time solving them), and it's quite similiar to the GrowCube mentioned in the chat some time back. Altogether though I very much like the way it is made - the weird logic behind the way you advance from level to level, the messages... the graphics are cute too

A clone of the growth "rpg" where you have to build things in a particular order or they won't grow properly, not particularly innovative though. It was hard to tell what some of the buttons do (maybe text labels would help for some icons). Multiple levels are a plus, though I didn't get past the 2nd (I didn't look at the solutions btw).

This crashes hella lot on startup, but finaly got it running. Stage3 boggles the mind. Any tips?
