Ah yes, well the bad mouse control kind of wrecks this. I think itw ould have been a lot better with just simple keyboard control. However, it's still pretty fun

I assume this is very much like that Katamari game (which I haven't played). There is some satisfaction as you grow bigger and get to consume objects that were previously obstacles. Unfortunately the mouse control is pretty bad, requiring you to move the mouse a lot to make the ball react at all. If you move too little nothing will happen and it just feels very stiff. More polished controls would have lifted this one greatly.

Lucky I got an IR mouse, otherwise I've would've picked up every piece of dust on my mousemat, turning the mouse to a big football rolling down the desk, on to the garbage can, building it up to a meter tall rolling stinkin bin-ball, with a usb cable thrown around when it rolls down the stairs on to the old laydy with the walking device. The traffic would stop as the ball keeps sticking to bicykles and roadsigns, busting the train fence and finaly crashed into oblivion by the x2000 train. Lucky I got an IR mouse.

I don't care what you all say, I like my mouse control.

This is apparently a Katamari clone, but I've never played Katamari, so I'll just give it a N/A for innovation. The controls were pretty bad .. I think keyboard control would have been better, or maybe a different kind of mouse control. I like the general idea, seemed like it could have some potential, but then the game crashed when I had completed two levels.

The game have consumed all CPU, so I first thought that it is jammed. At least the Final page gives me instruction to use the mouse.

Interesting; Although sorta boring... I found the controls to be a really slugglish. Bah @ Katamari Damaci

Oh, this was quite addicting. The fourth level requires luck and almost perfect execution, however, since a lot of needed items ended up "trapped" behind stuff too big for you. Still can't beat it. But it's basically Katamari with an overhead view. But this has smoother animation imo

I *like* the mouse control. It feels like rolling a ball with your hand. I loved KD, so I like this. However, it feels incomplete. It's missing a lot of polish. I think it could be much much better.

I, for one, didn't hate your control scheme, though it made my arm hurt; I treated my mouse like a sticky trackball and just went at it. It works, in its own peculiar way. It's a reasonable port of Katamari Damacy to 2D; I especially enjoyed eating my own path through the flowers. The graphics are.. ugly, but they do the job required of a game design that utterly relies on visual presentation, and the programmer art has a certain amount of charm to it.
There's a serious lack of polish that gets in the way, though -- the game just quits when you run out of time, it doesn't save your progress, and there's no way to skip to a later level. So if I wanted to attack level 5 until I beat it, I have to keep slogging through levels 1-4 to get there. I'm not even certain level 5 is finishable, since I'd collected everything small and still couldn't manage to roll up the beach balls. Maybe has something to do with the random level generation? And it's trivial to quickly finish level 3; even more so than level 1, where nothing is bigger than you. The balance is really off.

I didn't have a problem with level 2 (I played without the fix), but I never managed to complete level 4. I could be a little bit nicer if it allowed you to start over on the same level you were at instead of beginning at the first level again. Graphics are so-so, not great, but no very bad. Loses production points because there's no readme or other instructions included. I'd say it's innovative, though.
JosephWhite: Looks interesting, but ran too slow to play.

Another total clone! At least here, the limitations forced it to be sort of different from the original. Big problem here that killed the game for me was the controls. They were SO bad... I'm either standing still or zooming across the map at light speed. The zooming out was nice and subtle though, you hardly notice growing bigger. I guess I need to play this Katamari game everybody's so excited about. After I play Guitar Hero, that is!

My system doesn't have much in the way of a graphics card, so I couldn't really play this entry

Mouse as control for that kind of game isn't the optimal choice and gameplay wasn't that much fun. Somewhat interesting concept. Ability to crush some obstacles or something such would have made me like it bit more

The idea behind this one is really nice! Although the gameplay is very snake-like, it's still a refreshing new sight. Unfortunately, anything in the way of instructions is missing, but fortunately the goal is easily figured out. The mouse controls are definitely not my favorite though, they got me to stop playing after 2 tries (with keyboard controls, it would have probobaly kept me hooked longer). All in all, this is very entertaining and fun, just would have needed a tad more polish.

A katamari damacy clone roll the ball into objects to pick them up and make the ball bigger. Could use some sensitivity options or allow arrow key movement- I had to move my mouse a great amount to move the ball. Got to the 3rd level and got trapped unfortunately (enclosed by bigger objects and no smaller objects nearby).
XOut: : Fun=2 Innovation=3 Production=3 Graphics=3 Sound=0
Not a bad idea, but I found this unbelieveably hard to control, maybe theres a sensitivity issue. I had to litterally use a space of 2ft sqr for my mouse pad to move the ball. Also on stage 3 I spawned in a position where I couldnt move.

It took me a minute to figure out how to even control the game and then I had to work up an RSI controlling the ball. I like the idea, but it's a bit hard to figure out which things you can and can't pick up.
