This was probably going to get fun 3 or 4, if it wasn't for the giants. They are just hilarous.. and of course, my first encounter was special, since in the middle of level 2, I finally had figured out that you can pick up dropped beans again, so I test-jump-dropped one, then chased after it to the right - when suddenly a big giant jumped at me and gave me a real shock! As for innovation, planting beans to climb up seems a quite innovative idea for a platformer to me. Production, there could of course be much more polish, but of course, it also is quite good already, with intro screen and multiple levels. Graphics are in a blocky 3d style, with excellent animation. Sound is great, the tapping sound synchronized to the feet, the distant clicking sound of the giant, death sound - if there was some background environment sound or even music, this would get 5.

Hah! Cool, a 3D platformer in 48 hours. I'm impressed and the animation makes me laugh What amazes me though is that this is a complete game and you really can play it, like you didn't just get the base mechanics done which is what you'd sort of expect. The basic concept is great, the idea of using seeds to make vines where you can climb is really nice idea, i'm not sure if any platformer has had that before (probably has, just by the sheer number of platformers out there) Also, i'm not sure if you can get past a certain place on lvl 3, I am assuming not but I don't really know. It was funny and I was very surprised when that happened.

I like the tapping sounds he makes when he walks... The animation is actually pretty ok too. Works generally well but there's no action going on and no real puzzles. It's mostly walking ahead until you accidentally discover a trap by falling into it, then it's back to trying the level again while avoiding said trap. No challenges as such, although I did die at the level after the one with the giant/ogre (by falling into a hidden spike pit).

Needs better handling and faster pace. Was hard to manouver the manpolygon Cute though. Jumped a bit when the green giant rushed at me!

Interesting that it is in 3d.

Nice little platformer. Maybe a bit much walking around, though. Mostly it was pretty easy, but I had some problems getting up the beanstalk at the beginning of level 3 (kept falling into the spikes and dying in a bloody pulp), and the troll scared me when it came jumping along with that angry expression of his =). Textures are a bit on the simple side, but they do their job.

This game is a really stupid and slow-paced platformer. Yet it's somehow fun at the same time. I think it's the beanstalk-growing sound effect

I couldn't get into it at all. It looked nifty. Good sound effects. Nice level layout. Just didn't find that it grabbed me.

Neat idea, and animated 3D-models are pretty cool for a 48h game. The giant totally scared me to death and killed my the first time I walked close to him with no idea whatsoever what I had coming for me up ahead. Sounds are pretty basic, but the including of footstep sounds was a nice touch (well, at least for a while). On the graphics side, it could have used better textures, or at least more variance.

Need to find a faster machine.

I wouldn't call it flamingly original, but it's definitely a twist on basic platforming. That poor deformed Jack... The footstep sound is really nice. I think you should've laid off the life limit though - just having to restart the level is pain enough, nevermind restarting the GAME if you die too many times.

My 3D card was a bit too inadequate to play this game

Platform jumper / Puzzle game with 3d graphics. Spoiled my coffee when playing for first time.. Thinking to relax and complete few levels.. but then after a while of gaming a giant dude jumps in from nowhere and kills me!! Have to say that this game would prolly been better without the 3d view, cos basically this is 2d in 3d.. I feel sorry to give this low scores as I can see it has needed a lot work, but it really isn't really good as a game in my opinion.

Haven't got much to say about this, it's cool. And Jack looks hilarious with his bare midriff top.

I love the main hero 3d model. It reminds one of those first 3d virtual reality demos / games. Overall the feeling while controlling the character in game is good, and that silly childish graphics around = a lot of laugh

I've no hardware acceleration on my windows box

Plant beans to grow beanstalks to reach higher platforms. I found it a bit slow-paced though and frustrating to die in just 1 hit. The player model is pretty well done given the time constraint, even if silly looking.

Interesting game, but I couldn't get past level 3.
