Took one or two attempts before I understood what I was supposed to do. Then I thought it could be fun, but it turned out that you had to wait about half a second between each cut and that made it way too frustrating to be enjoyable. It was also very hard to select the right blob since others were constantly getting in the way. I never got past level 2. If it was possible to cut as fast as you could click (and maybe there could be some other limitation like number of total cuts to make it challenging, or perhaps just the fact that you need it to grow a certain number of blobs inside the circle would be challenge enough) then it could have been a lot more fun. Add some cutting sound effects and prettier graphics + leaf particles that fly off when you cut and this could be quite enjoyable (given that difficulty would not be too high on the first few levels).

Interesting, but very difficult to play. The tree grows way to fast on my machine. Perhaps there is no speed limiting code?

I had to extract the jar file to get the music and sounds to work (I'd never have tried that if the final page didn't say the readme was in the jar). Anyway, it's an interesting game, but on some levels I won simply by doing nothing. The others were very difficult (is it supposed to move that fast ?) .. it wouldn't be so bad if I was just allowed to cut as fast as I can, but the game forced me to wait before it would accept a new click, which was annoying. The window itself was also somewhat annoying with no titlebar or window border whatsoever. Funny music =)

Interesting game. I'm not sure how to make the perfect cut or is it just too hard?

When I tell the branches to die they should die immediately, not after thinking about it!!!! Maybe it's a JVM thing, but that's the only reason this game is unfun. The "grow inside the border" part wasn't clear until I looked at the readme, but I was doing OK just killing all the yellows until level 7.

Looks nifty. Runs waaaaay too fast. but the interface is clean, smooth, and original.

Er, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with this - I can't seem to figure out the controls or the aim at all. Also it gives me a nasty none-titlebared display in the top corner of the screen which is just irritating.

I don't really understand why the readme.txt is in a .jar. I thoughts .jar was so you didn't have to unpack stuff, but you had to anyway to get the readme. Then the readme says there should be music, but it's not playing any, no matter if I press m. The game has a weird kind of difficulty.. I usually failed a level a lot of times and then randomly the level get's completed without me doing anything at all. So easiest way to get to level 7 was to not do anything at all most of the time and just restart the level until it was completed. But level 7 was very hard, never made it. Trees looks pretty nifty afterwards, though.

A nice concept which works well. I couldn't figure out why the timer would suddenly jump forward though - it seemed impossible to finish level 2. I couldn't get the sound to work, so no sound score.

A readme could've helped... but this appears to be a sort of bonsai simulator. Once I figured out I needed to snip off leaves, I kinda got it. However, I found I won levels more often by not cutting anything than by trying to interfere. The 4th level was impossible for me. I think I got the idea, that you need to figure out which globs are going to head in the wrong direction and catch them before they can. But the click response is bad, and it grows so fast! I just couldn't catch anything in time. I like the springy tree, and the whole concept, but man, it's got to be made easier! If it was much slower, I could see it really being billed as some kind of simbonsai. ALT-F4 was a clever choice for an exit button.

No java for me

Great idea. Outlook is good. I had no idea at first that the game was mean't to be played with mouse.. Lacked exit game option and some kind of introduction.

Interesting idea. I passed first level, but don't get the second one :/

This is quite a nice game, but unfortunately there are a few things missing (any documentation would be one). I like the idea of cunnting a tree into shape, but it needs some more polishing.
xaver: - Fun=3 Innovation=3 Production=3 Graphics=3 Sound=0
The goal is to trim the tree to get the required number of leaves in the target area. You are only allowed a limited number of leaves outside the area. It starts out pretty easy but the difficulty climbs quickly. There is music mentioned in the readme, but I didn't get it to work.

I couldn't figure out how to play this game, just pressing random buttons seemed to work.
